Data Scientist - Drug Discovery

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement predictive models for drug target identification, hit identification, and lead optimization.
• Analyze large-scale omics data (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics) to uncover biological insights.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for processing and integrating diverse datasets from various sources.
• Collaborate with research scientists to design experiments and interpret results using statistical rigor.
• Develop data visualization tools and dashboards to effectively communicate findings to scientific stakeholders.
• Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and bioinformatics relevant to drug discovery.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in data science, machine learning, or statistical modeling, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of biological data and drug discovery processes.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
