About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Data Scientist with a focus on Energy Analytics to join their fully remote team. You will be responsible for developing predictive models, optimizing processes through data-driven approaches, and communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for tasks such as predictive maintenance, production forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Analyze vast datasets from various sources (e.g., sensor data, operational logs, market trends) to identify patterns and opportunities.
- Develop data pipelines and implement data quality checks to ensure the integrity of analytical outputs.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to business leaders.
- Collaborate with domain experts across engineering, operations, and finance to understand their needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and explore their application to the energy sector.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong portfolio of machine learning projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and associated data science libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL and working with large relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, scientific rigor, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
