Data Scientist - Fintech

About the Role

Our client is building a revolutionary platform and is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team, working remotely from Glasgow . You will be instrumental in leveraging vast datasets to develop predictive models, enhance customer experiences, and optimize business operations within the fintech space. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, credit scoring, customer segmentation, and risk assessment.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and strategies.
• Build data pipelines and collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong portfolio of machine learning projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with SQL, big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and data mining techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
