Data Scientist - NLP Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their innovative team in Manchester . This role is crucial for unlocking insights from unstructured text data and building intelligent applications. You will leverage your expertise in NLP techniques, machine learning, and statistical modeling to develop advanced solutions for a variety of business challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cutting-edge NLP models for tasks such as sentiment analysis, text classification, named entity recognition, and question answering.
• Preprocess, clean, and analyze large volumes of text data from various sources.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate and improve NLP model performance.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate NLP models into production systems and applications.
• Communicate complex findings and model insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field with an NLP focus.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying NLP models.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
