Data Scientist - NLP Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Data Scientist with a specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their team in Milton Keynes . You will be at the forefront of extracting insights and building intelligent systems from unstructured text data, driving business strategy and product development. This role requires a deep understanding of linguistic patterns, machine learning techniques, and the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and topic modeling.
• Preprocess and analyze large volumes of textual data, identifying patterns and extracting valuable information.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and integrate NLP solutions into user-facing applications.
• Evaluate and fine-tune NLP models to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Data Science, or a related field with a focus on NLP.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying NLP models using libraries like NLTK, SpaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms applicable to text data.
