Data Scientist - NLP Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Data Scientist with a specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their innovative team remotely. This role is integral to developing and deploying advanced NLP models that extract insights, automate tasks, and enhance user experiences across our platforms. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of NLP projects, from data acquisition and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment, working closely with product and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and fine-tune NLP models for various applications such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and summarization.
• Process and analyze large volumes of unstructured text data, ensuring data quality and relevance.
• Implement and deploy NLP solutions into production environments, monitoring their performance and iterating as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into NLP-driven solutions.
• Research and apply state-of-the-art NLP techniques and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in data science with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing .
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and transformer architectures.
• Strong understanding of text preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation techniques for NLP tasks.
