About the Role
Our client is seeking an analytical and innovative Data Scientist to join their growing data team, contributing remotely from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and communicating findings to stakeholders to drive strategic business decisions. This role is ideal for a curious individual with a strong quantitative background who thrives on uncovering patterns and building data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large, complex datasets from various sources.
- Develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate hypotheses.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Economics.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R.
- Strong experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with SQL and database technologies.
- Excellent data visualization and communication skills.
