About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and analytical Data Scientist to join their growing analytics team based in Sunderland . In this role, you will leverage your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. You will work on challenging problems, driving data-informed decision-making across various business units. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about uncovering patterns, building predictive models, and communicating findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within our Sunderland office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large, complex datasets from various sources.
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to identify trends, predict outcomes, and solve business problems.
- Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of new features or strategies.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data-driven solutions into production systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with SQL and working with relational databases; familiarity with big data technologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex findings clearly.
