About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Specialist to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is central to driving our initiatives within the rapidly expanding DeFi ecosystem. You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and advising on DeFi protocols, strategies, and investment opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and the intricate mechanics of DeFi platforms. This on-site position requires a proactive individual eager to contribute expertise in a field that is revolutionizing traditional finance, working closely with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate various DeFi protocols, including lending, borrowing, and decentralized exchanges (DEXs).
• Develop and implement DeFi investment and yield farming strategies.
• Monitor the DeFi market for emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence on new DeFi projects and smart contracts.
• Provide expert insights and recommendations on DeFi-related products and services.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience or deep knowledge of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) concepts and protocols.
• Understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and cryptocurrency wallets.
• Experience with DeFi platforms such as Uniswap, Aave, Compound, or similar.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for market and protocol assessment.
• Familiarity with relevant financial markets and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex DeFi concepts clearly.
