DeFi Protocol Developer

About the Role

Our client is searching for a talented DeFi Protocol Developer to contribute to the innovation and expansion of their decentralized finance offerings from their office in Reading . In this role, you will be instrumental in building, testing, and deploying sophisticated smart contracts and protocols that form the backbone of our client's DeFi ecosystem. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, smart contract security, and the underlying principles of blockchain technology. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of developers and product managers to push the boundaries of what's possible in decentralized finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts for various DeFi applications.
• Implement complex financial logic within smart contracts, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure the robustness and security of deployed protocols.
• Integrate protocols with other DeFi services and blockchain networks.
• Conduct performance testing and optimization of smart contracts and associated systems.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in the cryptocurrency and DeFi space.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and deploying smart contracts, particularly for DeFi protocols.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with relevant development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Solid understanding of financial mathematics, economic incentives, and risk management within DeFi.
• Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with blockchain explorers, wallets, and the broader crypto ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
