Delivery Driver (Class 2)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable and physically fit Delivery Driver with a Class 2 licence to join their busy operation in Coventry . You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to commercial and domestic customers throughout the region. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage your workload efficiently. As the face of the company to many customers, your professionalism and positive attitude are highly valued, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 HGV vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
• Deliver goods to customers, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
• Load and unload products, ensuring items are handled with care.
• Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery, maintaining accurate records.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Perform daily checks on the vehicle and report any issues immediately.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence .
• Driver CPC card and digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience in a similar delivery driver role is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of the Coventry area and surrounding regions.
• Physically capable of manual handling and loading/unloading.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
