Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and efficient Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop) to join their team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is essential for ensuring that products reach customers punctually and in excellent condition across the Tyne and Wear region and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating routes effectively, managing deliveries independently, and providing exceptional customer service at each drop-off point. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to represent our client professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform multi-drop deliveries of goods to various customer locations within a defined geographical area.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency, considering traffic and time constraints.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded and signed for by the recipient.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition, reporting any defects promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for clients during delivery.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Full, valid UK driving licence (Category B) with a good driving record.
• Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of the Newcastle upon Tyne area and surrounding regions.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently to meet delivery targets.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
• Physically fit to handle loading and unloading of packages, which may involve some manual handling.
