About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and punctual Delivery Driver to operate a van for their logistics operations in Coventry . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of goods to our customers, providing a vital link in the delivery chain. You will be responsible for collecting and delivering parcels and packages to residential and commercial addresses within the Coventry area. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to punctuality and efficiency, contributing to the company's reputation for reliable service delivery within the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver packages and parcels to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate a company van safely and responsibly, adhering to all road safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Verify delivery details and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Manage delivery routes effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time.
• Report any issues or delays encountered during deliveries to the logistics supervisor.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role is advantageous but not essential.
• Good knowledge of the Coventry area and surrounding regions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
• Ability to lift and carry packages of various sizes and weights.
