Delivery Driver (Van)

About the Role

Our client in Coventry is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver to operate a van for local deliveries. You will be an integral part of the daily operations, ensuring that goods are delivered to customers efficiently and professionally. This role involves navigating the local area effectively, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and providing excellent customer service during every drop-off. The ideal candidate will be punctual, organised, and possess a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate deliveries of goods to customer addresses within the Coventry area.
• Load and unload parcels, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Plan daily routes to optimize delivery efficiency and minimize travel time.
• Conduct routine checks on the delivery van, including tyre pressure, oil levels, and cleanliness.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving any delivery issues courteously.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence (Category B) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Coventry road network.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
• Physical capability to lift and carry packages.
