About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Delivery Fleet Coordinator to join their team in Leeds . This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our delivery vehicle fleet, contributing directly to the reliability and efficiency of our services. You will be responsible for scheduling maintenance, managing driver records, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This hybrid position requires on-site presence for fleet management tasks and offers remote flexibility for administrative duties, appealing to organised individuals keen on maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for the delivery fleet.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, MOTs, and insurance details.
- Ensure all drivers possess the correct licenses and certifications, and that they adhere to company driving policies.
- Respond promptly to fleet-related issues, such as breakdowns or accidents, coordinating necessary actions.
- Monitor fleet utilization and fuel consumption, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Liaise with external garages and suppliers to secure cost-effective maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in fleet management or vehicle coordination.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and regulatory compliance (e.g., VOSA).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and MS Office.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers and service providers.
