Delivery Specialist - Furniture

About the Role

Our client is searching for a dedicated Delivery Specialist focused on furniture deliveries for customers throughout Edinburgh . You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and assembly of furniture items, providing an excellent customer experience from doorstep to room. This role is crucial for ensuring our client's products arrive in perfect condition and that customers are delighted with their new purchases. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, physically capable, and has good spatial reasoning skills to handle large items with care within the Edinburgh area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and assemble furniture items at customer premises according to schedule.
• Ensure all items are handled with extreme care to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to all customers, addressing any queries.
• Check and confirm order details against delivered items, obtaining customer sign-off.
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the delivery vehicle and any tools provided.
• Report any delivery issues, damages, or customer concerns to the management team promptly.

Requirements

• A valid UK driving license, with a good driving record.
• Experience in furniture delivery, installation, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver large, heavy items.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions accurately for the Edinburgh region.
• Basic assembly skills for furniture would be an advantage.
