About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and motivated Delivery Team Lead to manage and inspire their team of couriers in the Leeds area. This role is crucial for maintaining the speed, efficiency, and customer satisfaction of our express delivery services. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring drivers are motivated and adhere to service standards, and proactively resolving any logistical challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of delivery drivers to achieve daily delivery targets.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and to the highest standard of customer service.
- Conduct regular team briefings, provide feedback, and support driver development.
- Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues related to deliveries effectively.
- Coordinate with the dispatch team to manage workload and optimize delivery routes in the Leeds region.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a logistics or delivery environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of delivery operations and route planning.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, and to solve problems quickly.
