Delivery Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Delivery Team Leader to oversee a team of drivers operating from their Bradford depot. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the delivery team, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of local delivery logistics. You will play a key role in motivating your team, resolving operational issues, and contributing to the overall success of the company's delivery network in the West Yorkshire region, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of delivery drivers to achieve performance targets.
• Plan and allocate delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor driver performance, providing feedback, coaching, and addressing any issues.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with company policies.
• Handle customer queries and complaints escalated by the team, resolving them effectively.
• Conduct regular team meetings and ensure accurate record-keeping for deliveries and driver activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within logistics or delivery operations.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Good understanding of delivery routes and logistics in the Bradford area.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to health and safety standards.
• A valid driving license is required.
