Delivery Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Delivery Team Leader to guide their delivery drivers based in Derby . This role involves supervising a team of drivers, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently, safely, and on time. You will be responsible for managing schedules, providing support to the team, and liaising with customers and the wider logistics department. This is a key position within our operations in Derbyshire , requiring strong leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of delivery drivers.
• Plan and assign daily delivery routes and schedules to drivers.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the delivery team.
• Liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction with delivery services.
• Conduct regular checks on delivery vehicles for maintenance and compliance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in logistics or delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
