About the Role

Our client requires a responsible and efficient Delivery Van Driver for their operations in Derby . This role involves the daily delivery of goods to customers, ensuring punctuality and care in handling products. You will be a crucial part of the logistics chain, representing the company professionally at customer sites and contributing to the overall success of their Driving & Transport business. The ideal candidate will possess excellent navigation skills, a clean driving record, and a customer-centric approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a company delivery van for local and regional deliveries.
• Safely load and unload goods, ensuring they are handled with care.
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Accurately record delivery details and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service during all delivery interactions.

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with a clean record.
• Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the road network in and around Derby .
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical capability to lift and carry packages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
