Demand Planner

Demand Planner | £50,000–£60,000 + Bonus | South-West London | Hybrid

I’m partnering with a growing consumer goods business looking to recruit an experienced Demand Planner to join its supply chain team.

This is a key role within the business, taking ownership of the demand planning and forecasting process and working closely with Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure the business has an accurate view of future demand.

You’ll play an important role in the monthly S&OP process , using historical performance, commercial plans, customer activity and market trends to build and challenge forecasts. You’ll identify potential risks and opportunities, improve forecast accuracy and ensure key stakeholders are aligned around the demand plan.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to improve existing planning processes, reporting and forecasting methodologies as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Owning and maintaining demand forecasts across a broad SKU portfolio
• Leading monthly demand reviews and supporting the wider S&OP process
• Partnering with Sales and Commercial teams to build consensus forecasts
• Analysing trends, customer demand and commercial activity to improve forecast accuracy
• Identifying risks and opportunities and communicating these across the business
• Challenging assumptions and ensuring forecasts are supported by data and commercial insight
• Monitoring forecast accuracy and bias and driving improvements
• Developing reporting, planning processes and forecasting methodologies

About you:

You’ll have strong experience within Demand Planning, Forecasting or a similar supply chain planning role , ideally gained within FMCG, consumer goods, retail or another fast-moving environment.

You’ll be comfortable working with large data sets and SKU portfolios, have a good understanding of S&OP , and be confident challenging forecasts and influencing stakeholders across Sales, Commercial and Supply Chain.

Strong Excel and analytical skills are important, alongside experience using demand planning or forecasting systems.
