Location: London
Job Type: Temporary Ongoing (Potential to Go Permanent)
Rate: £300-£375 per day (Negotiable depending on experience)
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Demolition Site Manager to oversee demolition and enabling works projects across London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor on an ongoing temporary basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing demolition operations on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. You'll work closely with subcontractors, clients, and the wider project team to maintain the highest standards of health and safety while keeping projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage demolition and enabling works packages from start to completion.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors on site.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme.
- Produce, review, and amend Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.Monitor site activities and maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Identify potential programme delays and implement solutions where required.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, and site teams throughout the project.
Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
- Proven experience managing demolition projects and enabling works.
- Strong knowledge of demolition methodologies and sequencing.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Excellent understanding of demolition health and safety requirements.
- Good knowledge of temporary works and safe systems of work.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Experience working on projects in London or other constrained urban environments.

- Temporary Works Coordinator or Temporary Works Supervisor qualification
