Summary

Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up (WHAM)

Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a full-time, experienced Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up (WHAM) to work on the West End production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, adapted by Conor McPherson and directed by Ian Rickson for the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to support and deputise for the Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up. Candidates should be trained in styling Afro-textured hair and have good practical knowledge and understanding of protective hairstyles, as well as having experience of barbering.

Experience on a large-scale production is essential.

• Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
• Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks; Alternating 7/ 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
