Deputy Headteacher

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Headteacher for the upcoming academic year to support a primary school, including nursery, in the North Birmingham area (B23). The role offers temporary and long‑term cover starting in September2026.

Key Responsibilities

This leadership role can be part‑time or full‑time, with a minimum commitment of two days per week, ideally Monday and Wednesday. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to support school operations, curriculum delivery and pupil progress.

Qualifications

• UK based teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
• Substantial experience working within a primary education setting
• Valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS
• Exceptional references

Recruitment Process

A one‑to‑one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant following shortlisting. You will receive advice and guidance on home and work life balance and will have direct access to your consultant throughout the registration journey.
