Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care (EBD)
Full‑time | Mon–Fri 9am–5pm (flexibility required)

We’re seeking a motivated Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home to support the Registered Manager in running a therapeutic EBD service. Because the organisation invests heavily in career progression, we welcome experienced Senior Support Workers (minimum 2 years) who are ready to step into a more senior role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting day‑to‑day operations of the home
*
Leading, supervising and developing staff
*
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations
*
Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding practice
*
Managing rotas, staffing and occasional on‑call duties
*
Maintaining accurate records and supporting quality assurance
*
Building positive relationships with young people and professionals
What We’re Looking For
To succeed as a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home, you will need:

A child‑focused, resilient and calm approach
*
Strong safeguarding knowledge
*
Confidence as a communicator and team leader
*
Understanding of EBD needs
*
Flexibility to support the needs of the home
Requirements
*
Level 3 or 4 NVQ Residential Childcare
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Senior Support Worker or similar role
*
Experience in children’s residential care (EBD/SEMH)
*
Full right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
