Job Overview: Looking for a rewarding role in education? Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a qualified Design and Technology Teacher for full-time, long-term positions and day-to-day supply work across Wandsworth. As a Design and Technology Teacher, you may teach across D&T, Food Technology and Art, depending on your specialism and experience. You will plan and deliver engaging practical lessons, assess student progress and encourage creativity, problem-solving and technical skills. The ideal Design & Technology Teacher will hold a PGCE and QTS or QTLS, and early career teachers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher lessons.
- Teach D&T, Food Technology and/or Art according to your specialism.
- Develop students' practical, creative and technical skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress.
- Promote safe and effective use of practical equipment and resources.
Requirements
- QTS or QTLS certification.
- PGCE or equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching D&T, Food Technology and/or Art.
- Passion for practical and creative education.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Early career teachers are welcome to apply.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
- Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.
