Job Description
Design Engineer - Bury | Up to £37,000 | Permanent
We're working with one of the UK's leading Automotive manufacturers, who are looking to add a CAD Designer to their busy team on a full time, permanent basis.
The role:
* Working closely with the Sales and Production departments to produce 2D and 3D drawings and provide day-to-day technical support
* Creating part numbers, BOMs, assembly instructions and visual aids for the production team
* Implementing engineering changes and supplier/customer change requests
* Liaising with third party manufacturers, sending out DXF/STEP files and drawings
* Managing budget and costing control
* Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
* Maintaining bodybuilding guidelines from OEM manuals
* Managing the approval process for samples of new products and product revisions
* Maintaining company ISO standards
What they're looking for:
* Experienced with AutoCAD/Inventor (Solidworks also considered)
* Previous experience within a similar industry preferred
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving and demanding environment
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical, organised approach
* Good communication skills
* Experience with Trailerwin is preferable but not essential
* FEA analysis experience would be advantageous

* Up to £37,000, depending on experience
