Design Manager - Freelance

Freelance Design Manager | Northampton | Outside IR35

We’re working with a Midlands-based shed contractor who are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Manager on an ongoing basis.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the design process and help put the right systems and processes in place as the business grows.

The role

• Northampton based

• Ongoing freelance requirement

• Projects up to £20m

• Industrial / commercial shed projects

• Set up and improve design management processes

• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and design teams

• Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals

• Work across pre-construction and construction

• Identify and resolve design issues before they impact programme or cost

• Outside IR35

We’re looking for:

• Strong main contractor Design Management experience

• Industrial, warehouse or shed experience

• Someone confident setting up and improving processes

• Strong technical and commercial understanding

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

• Available at short notice
