Based in South London, this full-time permanent role with RGB Network offers £55,000–£75,000 plus bonus, pension, and healthcare. Your responsibilities involve managing subcontractors, design consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure schemes are completed on schedule and within budget. This is a project management and liaison position, requiring a background as a Structural Engineer or existing Design Manager. You will not perform hands-on design work; instead, you coordinate and drive the process forward. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for this London-based role.
Structural Design Manager Permanent South London £55,000 - £75,000 + Annual Bonus + Pension + Healthcare Based in South London this privately owned Main Contractor are seeking to employ a Structural Design Manager on a permanent basis. As a business they focus on refurbishment and cut and carve projects from £5m to £30m in construction value all based in London and the South East. They are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer (Or existing Structural Design Manager) to manage the design of the projects, liaising with the sub-contractors, design consultants and internal clients to deliver the projects on time and to budget. This is not a design focused role, this is a Project management / liaison role for someone coming from a Structural Engineering background.
The role will require you to manage the design and co-ordination of both permanent and temporary works, making recommendations to clients, consultancies and contractors whilst ensuring they are delivered upon through the process. This is a cradle to grave role which is expected to be a busy with large elements of self-autonomy whilst working within a supportive and developing team. This role will suit a Structural engineer who has experience or working on, and managing, refurbishment and cut and carve projects in the UK working within a consultancy environment.
