About the role of Design Manager

Looking for a design manager to work on a long term commercial build. The project value is £5,000,000. Manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate consultants, architects, and specialist subcontractors. Review design information and ensure buildability. Identify and resolve design and technical issues. Monitor design programmes and ensure key deadlines are achieved. Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination.

Responsibilities of Design Manager

• Manage and coordinate the design programme.
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and technical information for buildability and compliance.
• Identify and resolve design and technical issues.
• Ensure design information is issued in line with project programmes.
• Support the project team throughout delivery.

Requirements of Design Manager

• Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
• Experience delivering commercial construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and Building Regulations.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet project deadlines.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
