The Deutsche Bank 9 week Summer Internship Programme is designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. About The Division

Our Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies, and financial sponsors. We recognize that selecting the right investment banking partner can be the key to a company’s success. Our relationships are enhanced by industry sector, country, and regional expertise, closely aligned to high‑quality client solutions. We offer both buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services (including our dedicated Environmental Social Governance (ESG) solutions), and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross‑border and regional transactions in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

About The Role

Working on our day‑to‑day business as well as on special projects, you will contribute to the innovation of new ideas to help our customers achieve their financial goals.

You will gain experience in different areas of our business and discover our market‑leading solutions firsthand.

• Monitoring capital market activity, trends and investor sentiment as well as performing in‑depth company analysis on specific situations
• Supporting the execution of client advisory and financial transactions while managing multiple projects with rigid and, at times, global timelines
• Preparing marketing materials and transaction documentation, including but not limited to pitch books, corporate and investor profiles, and analysis
• Conducting detailed financial analysis, market data, and transaction details to identify appropriate comparables and contribute to the development of pricing recommendations for new issuances.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, research, and legal teams, as well as external parties such as investors and legal counsel
• Gaining an in‑depth understanding of the products and services offered and their application to client needs

• Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG), Equity Distribution (EQD), Corporate Private Solutions Group (CPS)

What We Look For

• a strong foundational knowledge and interest in global capital markets, corporate finance, macroeconomics, and accounting

• strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and contribute to day‑to‑day client relationships
• an ability to solve problems, organize tasks, and manage multiple projects with demanding timelines
• strong attention to detail and accuracy
• an interest and ability to work collaboratively across the Deutsche Bank platform and global teams in support of our clients
• A financial background isn’t required. Our comprehensive training programmes will provide you with the technical skills you’ll need to build a career with us.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the 2027 Internship Programme you must:

• Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st August 2027 and 31st July 2028.
• Be able to start full‑time work in July 2028, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
• Return to full‑time study after the 2027 internship. If you do not return to full‑time study you will not be eligible for the 2028 Graduate Programme.
• Have achieved at least 3 A‑Levels at grade AAA, with a minimum grade A in A Level Maths or the UCAS points equivalent (if you studied outside the UK, please research the grade equivalents before proceeding).
• You should also be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree.
• Possess no more than 12 months full‑time, relevant work experience.
• For some placements in IBCM, in addition to English, fluency in a European language is desirable.
