About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Development Director to lead their fundraising and income generation efforts in Oxford . This critical leadership position involves developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy to secure the resources needed to support and expand the charity's vital programs. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners, playing a key role in the continued success and growth of the organization within the Charity & Voluntary sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan to meet and exceed annual income targets for the charity in Oxford .
• Lead and manage the fundraising team, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners, ensuring their continued engagement and support.
• Identify new funding opportunities and develop innovative approaches to secure diverse income streams.
• Oversee the preparation of compelling fundraising proposals, appeals, and reports.
• Represent the organization at fundraising events, donor meetings, and public engagements.

Requirements

• Significant experience in fundraising and development , with a proven track record of success in leadership roles within the non-profit sector.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies, including major gifts, grants, and corporate partnerships.
• Exceptional leadership, management, and team-building skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
