About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to enhance their infrastructure and deployment capabilities in Leeds . This role is crucial for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our client's software delivery pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the tools and processes that enable faster, more reliable software releases. Working closely with development and operations teams, you will drive the adoption of best practices in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and cloud infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Automate application deployments, monitoring, and scaling processes.
- Develop and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes .
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimal reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with software developers to troubleshoot issues and improve the overall development and deployment workflow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and their core services.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and CI/CD tools .
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
