DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in CI/CD automation to join their team, initially working remotely with occasional collaborative sessions in our Cardiff office. You will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and optimizing our automated build, test, and deployment pipelines. Your work will directly enhance development velocity, improve software quality, and ensure the reliability of our production environments. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about streamlining software delivery processes and possesses a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production environments.
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into their workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Contribute to the security and scalability of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
