About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their technology team, operating in a fully remote capacity from Southampton . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our client's software development and deployment processes through automation. You will be responsible for building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring the smooth operation of cloud environments. This remote position is ideal for a candidate passionate about infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and fostering collaboration between development and operations teams, regardless of physical location.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration, deployment, and monitoring tasks.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across the cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize application deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Skilled in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
