DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud automation capabilities in Sunderland . This role is predominantly remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to critical infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for building, automating, and managing the deployment pipelines and infrastructure that support our client's software products. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with software development teams to streamline development workflows and improve deployment processes.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (e.g., ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
