DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their dedicated IT and Software team based in Milton Keynes . This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing and automating their cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, improve system reliability, and accelerate the delivery of software solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for seamless environment provisioning.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
• Manage and scale cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring security, cost-efficiency, and optimal performance.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and QA engineers to integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle, fostering a culture of shared responsibility.
• Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes or similar platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
• Strong proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their core services.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
