About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer focused on Cloud Automation to join their growing IT department in Leeds . You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our client's applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security through automation. This role is critical in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, enabling faster and more efficient delivery of software. You will work with a variety of modern cloud technologies and tools, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts for operational tasks and system monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
