About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure and deployment processes in Glasgow . This role is crucial for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and automated systems that support the company's software development lifecycle. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline the delivery of applications, manage infrastructure as code, and ensure the high availability of our services. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a hybrid working model, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes .
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve application performance, stability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Bash , Python , or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
