About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure capabilities in Sunderland . This role is critical in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the smooth deployment, management, and scaling of applications and services. You will be responsible for automating and streamlining our development and deployment processes, implementing robust monitoring solutions, and maintaining the overall health and performance of the cloud environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployment.
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
- Automate operational tasks and develop scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize application deployment and performance.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across the cloud environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role focused on cloud infrastructure and automation.
- Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
