About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance their operational efficiency and accelerate software delivery pipelines in Belfast . This role is crucial for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment, scaling, and maintenance of applications. You will be instrumental in automating and streamlining our build, test, and deployment processes, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, and is passionate about implementing best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation of operational tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS , Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash , Python , or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
