DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join their growing technology team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. This role is critical in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our deployment pipelines and infrastructure management. You will be instrumental in enhancing system reliability, scalability, and efficiency, working with a diverse range of modern tools and technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute significantly to our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS or Azure, using infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance in production environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role focusing on automation and infrastructure management.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure, and their associated services.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes .
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python , Bash) and configuration management tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
