About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their technology team based in Edinburgh . This role is designed for individuals passionate about automating and streamlining software development and deployment processes. You will work on building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. This hybrid role allows for a balance between collaborative team sessions in the office and focused work from home. You will be a key player in fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Manage and automate cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop scripts for automation of operational tasks and deployments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
