Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their operations team in Manchester . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of our client's infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations, implementing automation, and maintaining our robust CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage automated build, test, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure and application efficiency.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our systems through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and facilitate faster release cycles.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
