DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their established IT infrastructure team in Leeds . You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the systems that enable rapid and reliable software delivery. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automation, efficiency, and system reliability. You will work with a dedicated team to manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications in a collaborative office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and automate CI/CD pipelines for efficient software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) using infrastructure as code principles.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Ensure the security and compliance of infrastructure and applications.
• Optimize system performance and resource utilization for cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
