About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join their expanding technology division in Manchester . In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the efficient deployment, management, and scaling of our cloud-based infrastructure. You will play a key part in automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern DevOps tools and methodologies in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS , Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Develop and maintain scripting solutions for automation of operational tasks and system monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure system stability and performance.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Contribute to security best practices and ensure compliance across the infrastructure.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong understanding of system administration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash , Python , or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
