Key Responsibilities
- Utilize remote diagnostic software and hardware to connect with and analyze vehicle systems.
- Interpret complex diagnostic data, fault codes, and sensor readings to identify root causes of vehicle malfunctions.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable guidance to field technicians for repairs and system reconfigurations.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of common and complex diagnostic challenges and their resolutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and software providers to stay updated on new vehicle technologies and diagnostic tools.
- Document all remote diagnostic sessions, findings, and recommended solutions thoroughly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Automotive Technician with a strong focus on diagnostics.
- Expertise in using a wide range of automotive diagnostic equipment and software (e.g., multi-brand scanners, oscilloscopes).
- In-depth understanding of modern vehicle electronic control units (ECUs), CAN bus systems, and vehicle networks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
