Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth diagnostic tests on vehicle engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and other components using specialized equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic data, fault codes, and technical manuals to accurately identify root causes of vehicle malfunctions.
- Develop detailed repair plans and provide clear explanations of findings and recommended solutions to service advisors or customers.
- Conduct complex mechanical and electrical repairs based on diagnostic findings, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques through continuous learning.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are handled safely and correctly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician .
- Strong proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools.
- Excellent understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems, CAN bus technology, and engine management systems.
- Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a focus on diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and manage diagnostic tasks efficiently and effectively.
- A valid driving license and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
