About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Facilities Management to oversee all aspects of property operations and maintenance for their extensive portfolio in Glasgow . This senior role demands expertise in managing large-scale facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing operational costs. You will lead a team of facilities professionals, implement best practices, and contribute to strategic planning for the company's physical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies and policies.
• Oversee the daily operations of all company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and space management.
• Manage budgets for facilities operations, capital projects, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities management team.
• Oversee major capital projects, renovations, and space planning initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience (7+ years) in facilities management , with a significant portion in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and operational best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and contract negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sustainability practices.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., BIFM) and a degree in a related field are preferred.
