About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Racquet Sports to lead their extensive tennis and squash facilities in Leeds . This senior position involves developing and executing strategic plans for all racquet sports programming, managing coaching staff, enhancing member experience, and driving participation and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of tennis and squash operations, including court scheduling, equipment management, and pro shop inventory.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule of clinics, lessons, social events, and tournaments for all skill levels.
• Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate a team of qualified racquet sports professionals and assistants.
• Develop strategies to increase member engagement, attract new participants, and enhance the overall member experience.
• Manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and identify revenue-generating opportunities through programming and services.
• Ensure the highest standards of court maintenance, player etiquette, and facility presentation.

Requirements

• Professional certification from a recognized tennis or squash coaching association (e.g., USPTR, RPT, Squash Australia).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in managing racquet sports programs, with a strong track record of success.
• Proven ability in staff leadership, program development, and budget management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Deep understanding of the racquet sports industry and current trends.
